Terry Lee Vallance left his friends and loved ones to enter the presence of Jesus at 11:53 PM on September 19 in Savannah, Georgia. Terry was surrounded by loving family when he left this world after an extended illness. He is survived by his wife Linda Shrader Vallance of Point Harbor, NC, sister Sandy (Kevin) Dennis of Gallipolis, daughters Heather (Eric) Lemponon of Grove City, Ohio, Stephanie (Paul) Ramirez of Huntington Beach, California, Annette (Matt) Horn of Dayton, Ohio, and son Mark Vallance of Savannah, Georgia, grandchildren Morgan, Shane, Skyler, Jake, Lillian, and Chloe, and several nieces, their spouses and children. Terry was born May 30, 1949, in Gallipolis of the late Alfred and Zelmalee Vallance, who both preceded him in death. Terry was a drafting designer who graduated from Devry Institute after graduating from GAHS in 1968. He worked on many jet designs, including the B-2 bomber. He was retired from Northrup in Los Angeles and contracted for many other companies. He loved music and drama and helped form a high school band at GAHS - the Royal Tones. He sang and played the guitar throughout his life. Terry also loved the ocean and was a certified scuba diver. Terry was cremated in Savannah, Georgia, and he will be buried with his father and mother on Mound Hill. A memorial service will be held for Terry at Vinton Baptist Church in Vinton, Ohio, on Saturday October 6. Visiting hours will be from 1-4 PM with a service at 4 pm. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Gallia Strong Tower Recovery Ministry, c/o Vinton Baptist Church, P.O. Box 38, Vinton, Ohio 45686.
