Alice “Sug” Rainey, 65, of Rio Grande, Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior and her loving son Steven on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at the Heartland of Jackson Nursing Home in Jackson Ohio. She was born August 6, 1942 in Wayne County, West Virginia to the late Basel and Texie Davis Spurlock. Sug was retired from the McDonalds at Rio Grande where she enjoyed everyone associated the restaurant and formerly attended the Calvary Baptist Church. Sug is survived by her husband Raymond Rainey whom she married on September 26, 1958 in Washington C.H., Ohio, one daughter Deborah Kelley of Rio Grande, a son David Donna Rainey of Wooster, Ohio; three grandchildren, Amanda Rainey and Cody Rainey both of Wellston, and Steven Rainey of Jackson, Ohio; one sister Sandra Leo McCombs of Patriot. Sug was preceded in death by her parents, a son Steven Rainey, and by four brothers, Charles, Earl, Bob, and Bill Spurlock, and by three sisters Jean White, Hazel Gerencser and Frankie C. Robinson. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens.
