Thelma L. Patterson

Thelma L. Patterson,  70, of Bidwell, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia.  Thelma was the daughter of the late Walter Eugene and Mary Lillian Cordell.

Thelma retired from Buckeye Community Services.  She enjoyed being with her family and is survived by her children, Herbert E. (Lori Coen) Cordell, Jr.  of Vinton, Ohio, Kenneth Michael Cordell of Columbus, Ohio, and Lynn Michelle Cordell of Bidwell, Ohio; ten grandchildren, Brad Conkins, Caitlin Cordell, Shanika Cordell (fiancé Seth Jeffers), Jericho Kanniard, Kyle Coen, Dante Fooce, Kaleb Cordell, Keyan Cordell, Skylynn Fooce, and Kara Cordell; five great grandchildren; her boyfriend, Norman Behagen of Bidwell; and two brothers, Raymond (Sonja) Guthrie of Junction City, Kansas and Thomas “Eddie” Guthrie of Clarksville, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents; Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Howard Patterson; one great grandchild, Mirrical Cordell; two brothers, Melvin Cordell and Larry Guthrie; and two sisters, Charlotte Ford and Libby Wallace.
