Theresa Carol Hall Irwin

Theresa Carol Hall Irwin, 55, of Gallipolis, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at home surrounded by her family.

Theresa was born June 27, 1967, in Michigan to her parents, Jim and Betty Hall, who survive her.  She was a 1985 graduate of Gallia Academy High School and was a long time employee of Wal Mart, where she held various positions.  She attended church at Fellowship of Faith in Rio Grande, Ohio.

Theresa was happily married to the love of her life, John Irwin on May 28, 1988.  He survives her along with their daughter, Elicia (Kyle) Scott of Gallipolis; her only grandchild, Rowan Scott; sister, Barbara (Raymond) Morrison; niece, Amber (Brandon) Bentley (children Tristan and Katee); and nephew, Andrew (Candace) Morrison (son Braxton).  Also surviving are many relatives in Michigan; aunt, Sabine Lockitski; cousins, Darcy Lockitski, Brian (Elaine) Lockitski, Aaron and Bella Lockitski, Kris (Kelly) Lockitski, Emma and Sawyer Lockitski; and many more cousins on her father’s side.  Also surviving is Theresa’s Wal Mart family.

If you knew Theresa, you loved her.  Her positive attitude and humble spirit made her a joy to be around.  She loved to talk about her Sweet Jesus.  During her battle with cancer, she gave out Hershey bars to the various medical people (as well as others) and told them His love was sweeter than candy.  Theresa was a wonderful follower of Jesus, giving Him all the praise, honor, and glory throughout her cancer journey.  Her strong faith definitely carried her through.

Theresa was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Paul and Elizabeth Lockitski; paternal grandparents, James and Mary Jane Hall; and uncle, Paul Lockitski, Jr., as well as twelve aunts and uncles from her father’s side.  In addition, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Melvin and Kathryn Irwin.

Private family services are being held under the direction of Willis Funeral Home.
