Thomas A. Saunders

Thomas A. Saunders, 70, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away at his residence. Tom was born on May 31, 1952 in Gallipolis, Ohio, son of the late Roy T. and Ruth Wilcoxon Saunders. He was a graduate of Gallia Academy High School, Class of 1970 and earned a Bachelor's Degree from Morehead State University, with a major in history and a minor in education. Tom retired from the Kroger Company having worked at the Gallipolis, Ohio and Barboursville, West Virginia stores; he enjoyed going to auctions, yard sales, and collecting antiques. Tom is survived by two brothers, Keith R. (Brenda) Saunders and Larry D. Saunders; two sisters, Sheri (Larry) Sayre and Karen (Sam) Rudolf; two nephews, Tyler Sayre and Alex Rudolf; and many extended family members. The funeral service for Tom Saunders will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2022 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Heath Jenkins officiating. His burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery.
