Timothy S. Murphy Sr.

Timothy S. Murphy, Sr., 45, of Gallipolis went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on April 27, 1963 in Washington, DC, son of the Clinton L. Sr. and Marion E. Davis Murphy, who survive him. He was a graduate of Hannan Trace High School. Timothy married Cindy S. Saunders on June 18, 1982 and she survives also. He was an industrial electrician. He attended Bailey Chapel Church with his wife Cindy. Timothy was a great man loved by all his family. Tim loved to hunt and fish, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all. Surviving in addition to his wife, Cindy S. Murphy and his parents, Clinton L. Sr. and Marion E. Murphy are two sons, Timothy S. Misty Murphy, Jr. and Benjimin L. Murphy, all of Gallipolis; three grandchildren, Timothy S. III, Cameron and Austin; four sisters, Debbie Randy Carnes, Robin Franklin, Denise Paul Holley and Cathy Murphy; a brother-in-law: Irvin Tammie Saunders; his mother-in-law, Betty Saunders and twelve nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his brother, Clinton L. Murphy Jr. and father-in-law Roy N. Saunders. Services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, June 8, 2008 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Will Wray officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, June 7, 2008 from 6-9 p.m. Pallbearers will be Timothy S. Murphy Jr., Benjimin L. Murphy, Greg Shipley, Paul Holley, Tony Nolan and Allen Plantz.
