Timothy A. Phillips II, 42, of Bidwell, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Holzer Medical Center. Born on October 7, 1979 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, Tim was the son of Tim and Bonnie Phillips. Tim graduated from Buckeye Hills Career Center/River Valley High School Class of 1998. He earned an Associate Degree from the University of Rio Grande. Tim was employed by Big River Electric in 2006. He began attending multiple service technician courses and achieved the status of “Master Technician” in welder repair. Tim was a critical part of the ongoing success of Big River Electric and was widely known for turning customers into friends. He was an avid RC enthusiast who visited WV Hobbies & Crafts, Teays Valley, and Smoke Stack in Lancaster. Tim enjoyed Jeeps and watching Star Wars, Dukes of Hazard, Jurassic Park, and Knight Rider. Tim is survived by his son, Timothy A. Phillips III of Bidwell; fiancé, Karen Gibbs of Hartford, West Virginia; parents, Tim and Bonnie Phillips of Bidwell; sister, Harmony Phillips (Tim Jones) of Oak Hill, Ohio; maternal grandparents, Clester and Virginia Tackett of Vinton, Ohio; close friends, Bob (Carly) Oehler and Kelly (Paula) Counts; aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and his dog, Nala. Tim was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert (Bob) Phillips and paternal grandparents, Mildred and Holzer Gregory. The funeral service for Tim will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Willis Funeral Home with Reverend Christopher Neece officiating. His burial will follow in Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
