Troy Gene Stewart, 79, of Gallipolis, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at his residence. He was born May 30, 1932 in Ottawa, West Virginia, son of the late Dorsey Stewart and Grace Parsley Cunningham. He was married to Nancy Ann Harkins Stewart and she preceded him in death on January 26, 2009. Troy was a U.S. Army Korean Conflict veteran. He was an electrician at Goodyear and at Kaiser Aluminum and R.A.C. where he retired in 1994, and he also worked as a refrigeration specialist. He was the former owner of B G Market, was a member of Faith Baptist Church and enjoyed singing and playing guitar. Surviving are his daughters, Carolyn Sue King and Sharon Wright, both of Gallipolis; his son, Robert Grose of Gallipolis; seven grandchildren, Tracy (Keith) Musgrove of Canton, Texas, Stacie Vega of Kentucky, Sean Grose of Cabot, Arkansas, Tim Tawney of Gallipolis, Chris (Jill) Tawney of Powell, Ohio, Brandon King of Gallipolis, Becky Lawless of Fontana, California; 16 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren; and a half sister, Charolett Murphy of Charleston, West Virginia. Troy was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nancy Stewart, and his stepfather Harold Cunningham. Services will be 1:30 p.m., Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor James Lusher officiating. Entombment will follow at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens, Chapel of Hope Mausoleum.
