Tyler S. Lucas

Tyler S. Lucas, 38, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at his residence. Born on January 8, 1984 in Gallipolis, Ohio, Tyler was the son of Timothy R. Lucas of Cheshire, Ohio and Tamara Lynn Plants of Gallipolis, Ohio. Tyler graduated from River Valley High School Class of 2002, earned an Associate Degree from Hocking Tech, and worked as a physical therapist assistant for Dunbar Physical Therapy Associates. He enjoyed golfing and watching the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes. Tyler is survived by his father, Tim (Teresa) Lucas of Cheshire; mother, Tamara Lynn Plants of Gallipolis; daughters, Maddilyn and Finlee; siblings, Brett McDade of Gallipolis, Brittany McDade of Gallipolis, Jon Kostival of Athens, Ohio, and Olivia Kostival of Athens, Tennessee; grandparents, Robert Lucas of Cheshire, Gilbert (Maggie) Plants of Gallipolis, and Sara Plants of Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia; niece, Skylar Williams of Gallipolis; and many extended family members and special friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Janice Lucas. The funeral service for Tyler will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery.
