V. June Finch Dial Jackson, 85, of Bidwell, formerly of Goshen, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at her daughters residence, where she had made her home for the last few years. June was born June 23, 1926 in Lawrence County, Ohio, daughter of the late Stanley Hall and Iva Mae Nance Finch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Glendall Pearl Dial and her second husband, Warren Bill Jackson, two brothers, Marshall Irvin and Merrill Ivan Finch and one niece, Teresa Lynne Mitchem Ward. June graduated co-valedictorian from Windsor High School class of 1944 at Dobson, Ohio. She attended Marshall University and transferred to the University of Cincinnati from which she received her degree. She retired from teaching school after a 34 year career. She was a member of Goshen United Methodist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Alicia Jane and son-in-law Charles Saunders Jr.; a granddaughter, Autumn Saunders of Porter, Ohio and a grandson, Charles Chaz Saunders of Athens, Ohio; her sister, Leora (Albert) Finch Mitchem and their family; a sister-in-law, Hazel Lou Hayes Finch and her family, all of Proctorville, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; many special cousins and a special adopted daughter, Christi Burns of Bidwell, Ohio. Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 14, 2011 at the Willis Funeral Home with her special nephew, Gary Huff officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5-7 p.m. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Goshen Cemetery, Goshen, Ohio. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, staff and all who helped care for June at Holzer Medical Center and with Holzer Hospice. Also special thanks to our many friends and family for their help and prayers.
