Virginia S Burke

Virginia S. Burke, 87, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2010 in the home of her care giver, Nettie Ann Warren. Virginia was a retired medical secretary from the Holzer Clinic, a member of First Baptist Church in Gallipolis. She enjoyed reading, crafts and crocheting. Virginia was born on May 7, 1922 in Middleport, Ohio to the late Augustus Gus and Ethel Corfee Steele. She was married to James Clifton J.C. Burke and he preceded her on January 13, 1982. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Patricia Ramsayer, a brother Eugene Steele, an infant sister Betty, son-in-law Jack Dray and granddaughter-in-law Ruby Dray. She is survived by two daughters Jeanne Dray and Kathi Nagy both of Gallipolis, four grandchildren Vance Dray, Karen Aaron Henson both of Gallipolis, and Tina John Watson of St. Albans, WV and Tara Pressler of Charleston, WV; seven great grandchildren and two great great granddaughters; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Jewell Steele of Pt. Pleasant, Mary Burke, Frankie and Ann Burke all of Gallipolis. Funeral services will be 1 pm Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alvis Pollard officiating.
