Weltha Pauline Clagg, 80, of Gallipolis, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2009 at the Overbrook Center, Middleport. She was born March 20, 1929 in Gallia County, daughter of the late Robert A. and Alice Williams Halley. She was married to Donavan “Don” F. Clagg and he preceded her in death on November 4, 2008. Weltha was a retired nurse’s aid at Holzer Medical Center. She was a member of Mina Chapel and attended French City Baptist Church. Weltha loved caring for her daughters. She also enjoyed reading, going to auctions, collecting crystal baskets, and her Chihuahuas. Surviving her are her three daughters, Donna Parsons of Middleport, Yvonne Steve Walters of Middleport, and Pam Burnett of Springfield; a son-in-law, Roger Burnett of Springfield; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, and her husband, Donavan “Don” Clagg, she was preceded by two grandchildren, William Stephen Walters II and Autumn Burnett Derham, two sisters, Anna Cox and Elsie Clagg, and three brothers, Warner, Emmett and Garland Halley. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2009 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Jason Brumfield, Tom Barry, Tony Foreman, Greg Derham, David Clagg, and Sam Pullins.
