Wendell L. Davis

Wendell L. Davis, 71, of Patriot, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at his residence. Born on February 24, 1949 in Patriot, Ohio, Wendell was the son of the late James Ray and Edith Jane Jones Davis. Wendell was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, who earned the Purple Heart, the Vietnam Service Medal Combat Infantryman Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, two Overseas Badges, and a Sharpshooter Medal. He was a member of the Stewart Johnson VFW 9926 Mason, West Virginia. Wendell is survived by his sons, Jamie Ray (Stacie) Davis of Titusville, Florida and Jeremy Ryan (Cathy) Davis of Wellston, Ohio; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Brandon) Valentine, Kaitlyn Davis, Nicole (Henry) Lero, Seth Davis, and Braylon Davis; great grandchildren, Branson Valentine and Grayson Davis; and sister, Betty Sue (Dave) Bowman of Jackson, Ohio. In addition to his parents, Wendell was preceded in death by a sister Annette in infancy. A Graveside Service will be held for Wendell at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Neal Cemetery with Pastor Phil Taylor officiating. Willis Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements.
