Wendell Eugene Price

Wendell Eugene “Hank” Price, 75, of Grove City, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the Adena Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio. He was born December 15, 1934 in Gallia County, son of the late Everett A. and Ruth M. Evans Price. Hank was a 1952 Cadmus High School graduate. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from manufacturing in Columbus, Ohio. Hank enjoyed golfing, baseball and football. Surviving are his sister, Rosalie Bill Lakin of Gallipolis; a brother, Phillip H. Price of Houston, Texas; three nieces, Minda Kevin Walker of Thurman, Sandy John Swisher of Wheelersburg, and Jill Lakin of Gallipolis; one nephew, Terry Sheilah Lakin of Bidwell; great nieces and nephews, Kendra Josh Bodimer of Bidwell, Aaron Cassie Walker of Gallipolis, Emily Walker Seth Forgey of Thurman, Erica Swisher of Columbus, Kate Swisher of Wheelersburg, Jared Camilee Tieman of Ashland, Kentucky, and Kathleen Tieman of Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 10, 2010 at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 1-2 p.m. prior to the funeral. There will be military services by volunteers of area veteran’s lodges. Pallbearers will be Terry Lakin, John Swisher, Kevin Walker, Aaron Walker, Josh Bodimer and Seth Forgey.
