William ‘Bill’ Webb born September 16, 1942 passed away at home following a brief illness on July 3, 2024.
Bill was a school teacher for 50 years. He taught Math, Physics, and Chemistry in Mason, Gallia, and Coshocton counties. His lifelong dedication to teaching helped mold countless doctors, nurses, lawyers, engineers, and farmers over the years.
When not teaching he raised hay, tobacco, and angus beef. He cut his teeth working on drag cars in the 60’s and was an excellent mechanic who could turn a wrench on almost anything. His most recent endeavor was restoring antique tractors and dozers to working order.
Bill was a very busy man who rarely sat still for very long. He often said he was raised with a ‘strong Protestant work ethic’, and he instilled the same in others.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life Julie in 2015. She was taken abruptly and too soon. He never quite recovered from this loss, and missed her dearly every day thereafter. Wherever they are and in whatever form, you can be sure they are back together again.
In lieu of flowers, Bill would want you to donate to Hospice to help support the good work they do for families across the state.
