William Larry Cromlish

William Larry Cromlish, 77, of Gallipolis, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at his residence. Our Dad and Poppy was a great man. He loved his Saviour, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with all of his heart. He had a way of making each and everyone of us feel special. His wish for his family was to know Christ as their Saviour so we all can be reunited one day. He was born August 25, 1934 and raised in Gallia County, son of the late William “Buss” and Virginia McQuaid Cromlish. He married Margaret Barcus in 1955 and she preceded him in death. Larry was a painter and a carpenter. He was a member of Elizabeth Chapel Church. He loved his church and his church family. Larry was a member of Morning Dawn Lodge #7, F AM. Surviving are his daughters and son-in-law, Sherry and David Clagg and Sheila Fisher, both of Gallipolis and Angela Burdette of Pt. Pleasant, WV; a son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Christy Cromlish of Gallipolis; seven grandchildren, Candace Clagg (Jeremy) Bowers, Benjamin Baird (Danielle Caldwell), Amanda Clagg (Brian) Unroe, Cortney Cromlish (Jon) Diddle, BJ (Tracy) Burdette, Lincoln Cromlish, and Ashley Burdette (Scott Nolan); thirteen great grandchildren, Bo Saxon, Jeb Bowers, Brynn and Brilee Unroe, Bryson Baird, Jared, Carley and Kendal Burdette, Faith and Lilly Diddle, Alexxus and McKenzie Oiler, Landon Nolan; four sisters, Thelma (Carl) Sibley, Josephine Beaver, Corena (Albert) Saunders, Hilda (Raymond Dale) Sanders, all of Gallipolis. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Margaret Cromlish on March 3, 2005, a grandson Brandon Clagg, a great grandson Colton Baird and a brother Roger Cromlish. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley and Pastor Randy Carnes officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, March 23, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Ben Baird, BJ Burdette, Lincoln Cromlish, Jeremy Bowers, Brian Unroe and Scott Nolan.
