Everett Halley, 65, of Gallipolis, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at the Holzer Medical Center surrounded by his wife and family. He was born on March 1, 1943 in Gallia County, Ohio to the late Clarence V. and Lucy Cox Halley. Everett retired from the Gallipolis City Schools in August 2005 and was formerly employed at Buckeye Rural Electric and the Ohio State Highway Patrol. He was a member of the Silver Memorial Freewill Baptist Church in Kanauga for the past 32 years where he enjoyed singing. He also enjoyed his animals. Everett is survived by his wife Dianna Halley whom he married on September 21, 1961; nine sisters, Lula Mae Oyer Green, Christina Charles Montgomery both of Crown City, Karen Mark Siders, Patricia Ivan Beaver, Rosalie Pete Beaver, Arlene Bob Leach, Mary Dwayne Fitchpatrick, Norma Jean Shaver, and Ruth Halley all of Gallipolis; two brothers, Paul R. Halley and James V. Halley both of Gallipolis, and several nieces and nephew. Everett was preceded in death by his parents, and by a brother Franklin Halley and by two nieces and three nephews. Funeral services will be 2 PM Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at the Silver Memorial Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Andrew Parsons and Rev. Dennis Parsons officiating.
