William K. Hurlow, 68, of Groveport, formerly of Gallipolis, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Grant Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. He was born July 19, 1944 in Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia, son of the late Leemon J. and Nora Chloe Robinson Hurlow. Bill was married to Ethel Garnett (Broyles) Hurlow and she survives him. He was a retired boilermaker with Local #667, of Winfield, WV. He was a Vietnam Army veteran and a lifetime member of VFW #4464. Surviving are his wife, Garnett Hurlow of Groveport, Ohio; a daughter, Angela (Ronald) Saunders of Columbus, Ohio; two sons, Ross (Staci) McPherson of Middleport, Ohio and Robert (Mariah) Hurlow of Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia; seven grandchildren, Carsyn, Camryn and Clayton Saunders, Wyatt McPherson, Lalla, Zane, and Dalton Hurlow; two sisters, Wilma Spires of Southside, WV and Betty Rodgers of Gallipolis; and four brothers, Jim Hurlow of Mason, WV, Leonard Hurlow of Crown City, OH, John Hurlow of Gallipolis Ferry, WV and Sam Hurlow of Gallipolis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters – Joe Hurlow, Oakey Hurlow, Audrey Woods, Eugene Hurlow and Dale Hurlow. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2013 at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Swisher officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday prior to the service from 12-1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Ron Saunders, Ross McPherson, Robert Hurlow, Sam Hurlow, David Spurlock, and John Carroll. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mark Hurlow and Wade Carroll Jr.
