William B. "Bill" Priddy

William B. "Bill" Priddy, 94, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023 at Holzer Senior Care. Bill was born on October 14, 1928 in Nitro, West Virginia, son of the late John R. and Hattie Bailey Priddy. Bill was a graduate of Nitro High School and West Virginia University. He retired as a Lab Tech with the Goodyear Plant; he enjoyed sports, walking, and the West Virginia Mountaineers. Bill attended the Church of Christ at Rio Grande. He was also a coach at Hannan Trace High School and Racine Southern High School. Bill served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.

He was married to Margaret Bowser Priddy; and she preceded him in death on October 16, 2016. Bill is survived by two daughters, Kristina (Rick) Stout of Bidwell and Regina (Dewey) Rhodes of Gallipolis; one son, Jerry W. (Heather) Priddy of Gallipolis; grandchildren, Aaron (Nia) Stout of Hendersonville, TN, Amy (Nick) Wentz of St. Charles, MO, Robyn (Ben) Schlater of Gallipolis, Kyle Rhodes of Gallatin, TN, and Lucas Priddy, Daniel Priddy, Levi Priddy, and Brooke Priddy all of Gallipolis; great grandchildren, Cora and Emily Stout of Hendersonville, Ben Wentz of St. Charles, and Aliza Schlater of Gallipolis; and one sister, Mary Priddy Casto of Buffalo, West Virginia. Bill was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and Thomas Priddy and by two sisters, Betty Hill and Alma Priddy.

The funeral service for Bill will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Willis Funeral Home with Rick Stout officiating. His burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Green Twp. Friends may call on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Aaron Stout, Kyle Rhodes, Lucas Priddy, Daniel Priddy, Levi Priddy, and Ben Schlater.
