Blake M. Northup

Blake M. Northup, 58, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2012, peacefully at home, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on February 20, 1953 in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late Charles Lowell and Ardilia (Cantrell) Northup, who survives him. He retired from the Gallipolis Developmental Center (GDC) in 2004 after 30 years of employment. Blake is survived by his loving wife, Shelia (Conkle) Northup of Gallipolis, Ohio; children, Michael (Susan) Northup, Crystal (Wade) Durst, Robert Northup, Jeff (Brenda) Birchfield, Jyl Mullins and Jimmy (Brittany) Jones; grandchildren, Chance, Ryan, Orlando, Katelyn, Kallie, Kasey, Carter and Wyatt; great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Aaron, Kyleigh, and Evan; mother, Ardilia Northup; siblings, Loretta Beaver, Leota (Jack) Beaver, Jimmy Northup, Shirley (Loren) Beaver, Gary (Sandy) Northup, Larry (Valarie) Northup, Richard (Debbie Boothe) Northup, and Ronnie Northup; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Lowell Northup and brothers, Roy Northup and Hiram Northup. There will be no services held.
