Douglas W. 'Doug' Saunders

Douglas W. Doug Saunders, 37, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Friday January 14, 2011 unexpectedly. Doug was a truck driver for Tracey Seymour. He enjoyed hunting fishing and farming. He was a member of The Abiding Place Church in Jackson, Ohio. He was born on March 30, 1973 in Gallipolis, Ohio son of the late Sandra Queen Saunders and Garland Eugene Saunders. Doug married Christina Neece Saunders on July 26, 2002 in Gallipolis, Ohio and she survives along with his children Autumn Marie Saunders, Garland Douglas Saunders, and Samantha Elaine Saunders all at home, one sister Cortney Saunders and one brother Randy Saunders both of Gallipolis, Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his mother Sandy Saunders in 2002 and by his father Garland Eugene Saunders in 2005. Services will be 1 pm Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Neal officiating. Burial will follow in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call on Tuesday, (today) January 18, 2011 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Willis Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Randy Saunders, Chuck Fisher, David McCormick, Scott Warren, Dwayne Lawson, Andy Queen, Sam Queen, and Brian Crouse. Honorary Pallbearer will be Matt Chapman.
