Edna Dovenbarger

Edna Dovenbarger, 66, of Gallipolis, Ohio, formerly of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Holzer Medical Center. Born on March 23, 1955 in Gallia County, Ohio, Edna was the daughter of the late Leland L. and Betty J. King Walters. On April 5, 1981, Edna married Roland L. Dovenbarger, who preceded her in death on July 30, 2021. Edna was also preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Roy Neal in 1975. She graduated from Gallia Academy High School Class of 1973. Edna was a caretaker at the Gallia County Junior Fairgrounds for twenty-five years. She enjoyed spending time and being with her family. Edna is survived by her son, Roland “Bub” (Cindy) Dovenbarger of Vinton, Ohio; daughters, Staci (Zach) Hampton, Amanda (Mike) Walker, and Candy Dovenbarger all of Gallipolis; two grandchildren, Hayleigh and Noah Dovenbarger who lived with her; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and four step children whom she raised.
