James E. Waugh

James E. Waugh, 70, of Patriot, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2007 at the Holzer Medical Center Emergency Room. He was born on August 27, 1937 in Ashland, Kentucky to the late Grady and Sue Osborne Waugh. He married Geraldine Burchett on February 23, 1957 in Gallipolis, Ohio. He retired from Smith GMC as a mechanic and was a self employed mechanic. He enjoyed his family, helping others in the community, woodworking and gardening. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Geraldine Waugh of Patriot; five daughters, Kathy Terry Carter of Centerville, Sherry Joe Merry of Leesburg, Ohio, Robin Dave Merry of Baltimore, Ohio, Carla Richard Stephenson of Cheshire and Angie Jason Shriver of Patriot; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Carl Madeline Waugh of Pataskala, Ohio and Ernest Donna Waugh of Indiana; three sisters, Mildred Wilcoxen of South Bloomfield, Ohio, Betty Don Delaney of Groveport, Ohio, Edna Mae Wells of Ashland, Kentucky; and his special pet “Duke”. James was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Paul Waugh. Services will be 1 p.m., Friday, November 2, 2007 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens.
