Jemima Job Stanley, 83 of Patriot, Ohio went home to be with her Lord on Friday, May 19, 2006 at the Holzer Medical Center. She was born on November 3, 1922 in Hunting Creek, NC daughter of the late Sidney and Della Parker Transeau. She was married to Vernon E. Stanley on April 6, 1945 in York, SC and he preceded her in death on July 21, 1976. Jemima was a member of the Lecta Church of Christ in Christian Union where she served as an Elder. She was a mother and a homemaker. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Margaret Albert Avery of Kitts Hill, OH, Mrs. Kathy Wayne Harrison of Crown City, OH, Mrs. Linda Joe O’Dell of Jackson, OH, Mrs. Mary David Whealdon of Patriot, OH, Mrs. Judy David Beiler of Lancaster, PA.; Sons: Vonley and Hazel Stanley of Patriot, OH, Tom and Carolyn Stanley of Patriot, OH, Toney and Debbie Stanley of Patriot, OH, Jack Stanley of Patriot, OH and Ralph Stanley of Lancaster, PA. There are 33 Grandchildren and 44 Great Grandchildren. Jemima was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Vernon E. Stanley in 1976 and her sisters Emma Gentle, Grace Smith, Mary Transeau, Brothers Stonewall Jackson Transeau, Rufus Transeau, her twin brother Simon Transeau and Baby brother Elijah Transeau. Services will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at the Lecta Church of Christ in Christian Union with Rev. Billy Payne and Rev. Charles Parker Officiating. Burial will follow in the Palestine Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, May 22, 2006 from 6 until 8 pm at the Willis Funeral Home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
