John A. Miller

John A. Miller, 74, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the Holzer Medical Center. John was born on May 11, 1939 in Caroltown, Pennsylvania, son of the late Elmer and Annie Anna Miller. John was a retired manufacturing engineer with Rockwell International. He served his country by serving in the US Army from 1958-1961. John was a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church in Gallipolis. He is survived by his wife Cheryl Lund Miller, whom he married on December 7, 1968 in Sodus, New York. Also surviving is one son Brian (Michelle) Miller of Glenford, Ohio and one daughter Jill Miller White of Marienville, PA, one granddaughter Mikayla, two sisters Alene (Earl) Smithmeyer of Ashville, Pa, Patricia Miller of Ashville, Pa., five brothers, Lloyd (Jane) Miller, of Sodus, NY., Thomas Miller of Tyrone, Pa., Wilford (Betty Ann) Miller, St. Augustine, Pa., David (Mary Jane) Miller of Ashville, Pa., and Gary (Patricia) Miller of Ashville, Pa., and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters Hilda Williams, Laverne Ives, and Dorothy Himes, and by four brothers Clarence, James, Cyril, and Harold Miller. A funeral mass for John A. Miller will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday, August 31, 2013 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Gallipolis, Ohio with Reverend Thomas Hamm officiating. There will be a military flag presentation after the services. Willis Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
