Larry E. Miller, 64, of Gallipolis, beloved Father, Grandfather, and Brother, went to be with his Lord surrounded by family at home in Gallipolis on Tuesday, April 11, 2006. Larry was born on July 28, 1941 in Crown City, Ohio, the son of Meldridge Miller and Aldean Miller, who preceded him in death. He retired in 1998 from BP Oil after more than 30 years of service. He was a devoted Father and Grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church in Huntington, West Virginia. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Surviving are one son, Larry Lori Miller II of Mercerville and one daughter, Valerie James Westfall of Gallipolis; seven grandchildren, Lindsey, Paul and Timothy T.G. Miller of Mercerville, and Samantha, Maggie, Hannah and Katie Westfall of Gallipolis; two sisters, Karen Dave Owens of Ironton and Cinda Mike Irwin of Savannah, Georgia; two aunts, Naomi Bill Gooderham of Crown City and Nelda Sonny Smith of Groveport, Ohio; two uncles, Verlin Joann Swain of Crown City and Nelson Evelyn Swain of Lakeland, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2006 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Mayes officiating. Burial will follow in Crown City Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2006. Pallbearers will be Verlin Swain, Nelson Swain, James Westfall, Beau Miller, Dave Owens, Mike Irwin, Paul Miller and T.G. Miller. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Ohio Valley Christian School, 455 Third Avenue, Gallipolis, OH 45631 in memory of Larry Miller.
