Lennie Willis

Lennie Willis (Moore, McFarland) of Ironton OH, residing in Akron, OH died on Friday, April 4th, 2014 at the age of 94. She was the beloved wife of the late Rev. Cleeland Willis for 66 years; the loving mother of Lonnie (Leah) Willis of Akron OH; Phyllis (Clement) Fournier of Shelby Township MI; Russell (Janice) Willis of Pueblo CO; Daniel Willis of Petaluma CA. She was also a devoted grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was born in Kentucky to the parents of Lennie and Benjamin Moore on February 21, 1920. Dear sister of Glenn Moore (deceased); Clarence Moore (deceased); and Russell (Irene) Moore of Arcata CA. Henry and Sara McFarland from Rock Camp OH parented Lennie from the time she was two (2) years of age; her sisters were Eva Rice (deceased); Wanda Wilson of Coal Grove, OH. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 9, 2014, 11:00 A.M. at Philips Funeral Home (740-532-2144) 1004 South 7th Street, Ironton OH, with the Rev. Dennis Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Leatherwood Cemetery. Friends may call at Phillips Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6-8 pm.
