Marcella Lynn Moss

Marcella Lynn McGuire Moss, 62, of Chesapeake, Ohio, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia. She was born May 9, 1955 in Gallipolis, Ohio, daughter of the late Marvin and Edith Taylor McGuire. Her father Marvin preceded her in death in 1996; and her mother, in 1973. Marcella was a homemaker who enjoyed working with crafts and flowers. Marcella is survived by her children, Shawn (Erica) Moss of Chesapeake, Tonya (Tiffany Pittman) Moss of Barboursville, West Virginia, Jon (Kosha) Moss of Crown City, and Amanda Moss of Gallipolis; seven grandchildren, Dakota, Devin, E.J. Leah, Lexi, Jasmine, and Kathy; three sisters, Dorothy Walker of Gallipolis, Marjorie (Earl) Holley of Crown City, and Hazel Spurlock of Circleville, Ohio; brother, Wayne (Rita) McGuire of Crown City; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marcella was preceded in death by five brothers, Ray, Norman, Lonnie, Frank, and Glen McGuire and one sister, Brenda Kay McGuire. The funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Valentine and Pastor Shawn Moss officiating. Friends may call prior to the service from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service will be Friday, April 13, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Old Mercerville Cemetery.
