Mildred J. Duncan

Mildred J. Duncan, 91, of Patriot, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Holzer Senior Care. She was born February 3, 1919 in Guyan Township, Gallia County, Ohio, daughter of the late Perry P. and Emma Williams Lambert. Mildred was married to Howard 'Jack' Duncan and he preceded her in death on May 5, 1993. She was a member of Northup Baptist Church and a retired school teacher. Surviving are her two sons, Charles A. 'C.A.' April Duncan of Northup, Ohio and Phil J. Mary Duncan of Pataskala, Ohio and a daughter, Alice M. Ron Cowden of Worthington, Ohio; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and one step great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Howard 'Jack' Duncan, one son George A. Duncan in 1983, and three sisters, Freda Johnson, Morna Cox, and Bonnie Lambert in infancy. Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 2010 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Kings Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, June 5, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. Mildred's grandsons will be pallbearers.
