Opal Faye Fraser

Opal Faye Neal Fraser Faye Fraser, 73, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Tuesday September 5, 2006 at Arbors at Gallipolis. She was born October 23, 1932 in Lecta, Ohio to the late Levi W. “Pete” and Shirley Myers Neal. Faye was a graduate of Gallia Academy High School, and received her Teaching certification from Rio Grande College. She later went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Teaching from Ohio University. Faye was an elementary teacher for 32 years; a member of the Gallia County Retired Teachers Association and the Gallia County Historical Society. She enjoyed traveling, reading and crossword puzzles. Surviving are two daughters. Sheryl Larry Fallon of Patriot, and Tami Dianna Mines Fraser of Tyngsboro, MA; five grandchildren, Rashel Josh Yates of Milton, WV, Kyle, Jaylan, Shaun, and Terryn Fraser-Mines; one brother Charles Juanita Neal of Venice, FL; two sisters Thelma Miller of Gallipolis, and Joyce Mike Harrington of Gallipolis; a sister-in-law Justine Neal of Gallipolis, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother James “Jim” Neal and sister Maxine Allbright. She will be cherished in our hearts always. Services will be 1 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2006 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Voss officiating. Burial will follow in Neal Cemetery. Friends may call 6 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2006 at Willis Funeral Home.
