Robert G. 'Bob' Brumfield

Robert G. 'Bob' Brumfield, 71, of Crown City, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at the St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington, WV. Bob was born on August 19, 1937 in Lawrence County, Ohio to the late John A. and Ella White Brumfield. He had been a salesman for French City Meats/Landmark for 18 years and retired from the Heiner's Bakery as a route salesman. Bob was a member of the Crown City Community Church, a member of the Crown City Council, and was an U.S. Army Veteran. Bob had been involved with coaching youth sports at Hannan Trace. He enjoyed all sports and was a Marshall fan. He was a 1956 graduated of Fairland High School He was married to Hazel Sheets Brumfield on February 27, 1965 and she survives him, along with two sons Rob Lora Brumfield of South Point, Ohio and Tim Beth Brumfield of Gallipolis; three grandsons Jonathan, Jeremy and Joshua; two sisters Mary Jones of Huntington, WV, Nellie Eileen Stanford Fulks of Crown City, Ohio; two brothers, Lester Jewell Brumfield of Athalia, Ohio and Dale Alberta Brumfield of Victor, WV. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Jenna Beth Brumfield in 2003 and by three brothers, Walt, O'Dell and Carl. Services will be 1 pm Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Don Irby officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgelawn Cemetery.
