Sarah Carman

Sarah Carman, 97, of Gallipolis, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Arbors of Gallipolis. She was born April 15, 1915 in Gallipolis, daughter of the late William H. and Parney Loucks Anderson. Sarah married Edward Carman on October 1, 1953. He preceded her in death on September 22, 2005. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Frank H. Anderson. Sarah was a 1933 graduate of Gallia Academy High School. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and an Ohio Bell telephone operator until her retirement in 1956. Surviving are her son, Timothy William (Beth) Carman of Gallipolis; two daughters, Patricia Ann Carman of Huntington, West Virginia and Linda Jeane (Mike) Kamman of North Royalton, Ohio; four grandchildren, Lisa M. Kamman, Annee, Peter and Emily Carman. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alvis Pollard officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 from 6-8 p.m.
