Travis L. Martin, 38, of Gallipolis, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 7, 2013. He was born August 15, 1975 in Gallipolis, son of David L. and JoLynn O’Dell Martin, who survive him. He was a dispatcher for Smith DOT LLC. Travis enjoyed spending time with his girls, his trucks, dispatching, hunting, fishing, weight-lifting, motorcycles and playing billiards. Surviving are his parents, David L. and JoLynn Martin of Gallipolis; his children, Alyssa, Alexis and Abella Martin and their mother, Misty Newell, all of Mason County, West Virginia; two sisters, Misty Rhodes (Jeff Dyer) and a niece, Izabella Dyer, all of Oak Hill, Callie (David) McCarty and a nephew, Alex Turman and a niece, Kerri Turman, all of Canmer, Kentucky; a brother-in-law, Chad Rhodes of Cheshire; a nephew, Justin Rhodes (Lindsey Landrum) of Jackson; a special friend, Lynn Koella of Gallipolis; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Travis was preceded in death by his grandparents, L. Paul and Alma D. Martin and Alfred Matoma and Cozy Marie O’Dell. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Dean Warner and Pastor Ralph Workman officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery.
